Sittong Tour Package 2 Nights 3 Days Itinerary

Day 1 – Transfer to Sittong

Your Sittong Tour begins when you arrive at NJP Railway Station/ Bagdogra Airport/ Siliguri. Our representative will meet you at your chosen pick-up point, such as New Jalpaiguri Junction or Bagdogra Airport. From there, our friendly driver will take you to Sittong, which is about a 2-hour drive covering a distance of 35 km.

Enjoy the scenic journey with views of lush green tea gardens and dense forests lining the road. Once you arrive, check into your cozy homestay in Sittong. Spend the rest of the day as you like, followed by dinner in the evening. Stay overnight in Sittong.

Day 2 – Sightseeing in and around Sittong

The village is located in a deep valley beside the Riyang River. It has a bamboo bridge, a church, winding paths through orange orchards, and a few streams.

Start the day with an early morning drive to Durpin Dara to watch the sunrise, then return to the homestay for breakfast. After breakfast, explore the village. Guests can also visit a tea garden and, with prior notice, watch tea being made.

Other attractions include Namthing Pokhari (Salamander Lake) and Ahal Dara, which offers stunning views of the Teesta River. Nearby, you can visit Rabindranath Tagore’s house in Mongpoo (8 km away) or Latpanchar, the highest point in Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary (13 km away). Latpanchar is home to the Himalayan Salamander and various bird and butterfly species.

Enjoy lunch back at the homestay. Later, you can go camping, have a riverside picnic, or watch a cultural program. Alternatively, take a light trek to Labda village or nearby spots with a local guide. End the day with dinner cooked at a campsite after a campfire. In the evening, relax and stroll around the area. Day 3- Sittong to New Jalpaiguri Station (NJP) / Bagdogra (IXB) / Siliguri Drop

Drive to Siliguri on the way to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP). Start your day with an early morning breakfast. You can choose to visit the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Station in Kurseong via Baggura or take a short trip to the gates of a Tea Estate like Ambootia, Makaibari, or Margaret’s Deck Tea Lounge (Goodricke Tea Pot) to buy or taste tea.

For your onward journey, it’s a scenic drive of about 65 kilometers, taking 2.5 to 3 hours. You have two route options: via Kurseong or Kalijhora. The Kurseong route is especially captivating, with views of tea estates and the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary. Enjoy the pleasant weather and stunning landscapes. Stop at Garidhura or a similar spot for tea and refreshments.

Finally, reach your destination: Bagdogra Airport, New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus, or Siliguri.
