Day 1 – Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / NJP/ Siliguri Bus Stand and Pelling Transfer
Our representative will meet the guest at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP), Bagdogra Airport (IXB), or Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction) and assist with the transfer to Pelling. The journey to Pelling is about 145 kilometers and takes 5 ½ to 6 hours. Upon arrival, the guest will check into the hotel.
Pelling is located at an altitude of 7,050 feet (2,150 meters). On clear days, visitors can enjoy stunning views of the Himalayan range, including snowcapped peaks like Pandim, Kumbhakarna, Rathong, Khangchendzonga, Zopuno, Shimbho, Narsing, and Sinolchu. After breakfast, begin your journey from Pelling to Siliguri, heading toward Bagdogra Airport (IXB), New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP), or Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction). The drive is approximately 145 kilometers and takes around 5½ to 6 hours.
The scenic route follows the River Rangit and later the River Teesta, offering beautiful views along the way. You can stop for tea at Melli or Chitrey and, if time allows, visit the Coronation Bridge. It’s recommended to start early to avoid rushing. Upon arrival at your destination, continue with your onward journey.
